WHAT'S NEW at TURNING POINTE?

    February 2, 3 and 9, and 10, 2007 -- 30 Hour State Training

    30 hour state required training for victim services providers. Open to the public. $150.00, Shelton Civic Center. Call Ruth at Turning Point to register, 360-426-1216.

    April 27, 2007 -- Annual Art Auction

    The location is the Elmer and Katharine Nordstrom Great Hall at Harmony Hill Retreat Center in Union from 6-10 p.m. It's a live and silent auction. The setting is absolutely gorgeous, so please join us!

    "E.A.S.Y. Classes" (Education and Support Yourself -- FREE for D.V. Survivors

Turning Pointe is providing a series of six 1 1/2 hour classes. These classes will help educate survivors on the various ways domestic violence not only effects them, but also their children, their families and the community.

The classes include:

  • The Dynamics of Domestic Violence
  • The Effects on Children and Families
  • Chemical Dependency and Domestic Violence
  • Sadness, Depression and Anger
  • Law Enforcement and the Courts
  • Where Do I Go From Here?

A certificate of completion will be given at the end of the six week course.

The classes are free to D.V. survivors. Due to confidentiality, they are not open to the general public.

"Illuminations"

A victim/ survivor support group meets every Tuesday from 12:00 to 1:30 PM. Bring a sack lunch. Free child care will be provided, but please make arrangements in advance by calling the agency at (360) 426-1216.
