"Girls Night Out"

The “Girls Night Out” fundraiser on December 1, 2011 at Harmony Hill in Union was a huge success! Ladies attending the event spent a night of getting pampered with massages, facials, and wax hand treatments while being treated to wine, hors d’oeuvres, pastries, ice cream and live music. On top of that they enjoyed an evening of shopping from an astonishing collaboration of local businesses.

We would like to express our deep appreciation to Kathy Geist, owner of Better on You in Union, for orchestrating the event and for coming up with the idea. Kathy did a fabulous job of putting this wonderful event together to help raise money for Turning Pointe!

Turning Pointe would also like to give a huge thanks to the following sponsors/contributors who helped make this such a successful event!

3rd Annual Golf Classic

Turning Pointe’s 3rd Annual Golf
Classic, held in July, raised $17,547.
That is just outstanding! A huge
shout-out to all the sponsors and volunteers
who made the event so successful.
Special thanks to Green Diamond,
Druzianich Foundation, and
Peninsula Credit Union as the main
tournament sponsors. Thanks also to
Mike and Judy Callaghan who were
the event organizers again this year.
Highlighting the day were the 11
army soldiers from Ft. Lewis, mostly
Special Forces and Rangers. One
soldier who couldn’t make it donated
his entrance fee and all have
agreed to come back for the 2012
event. A poignant moment came as
they went outside to have the picture
taken. It was explained to the people
at the luncheon who they were.
When the soldiers came back in,
everyone stood up and applauded.
The team of Thad Bamford, Miles
Silverthorn, Steve DeMiero and Brett
Lensch won 1st place for the third
year in a row. The team that had the
“most fun” consisted of Dan and
Brenda Stainbrook, Mona Anderson
and Dave Harris.
Plans have already begun for
next year’s event, to be held July 21,
2012, at Lake Limerick Golf Course.
