Illuminations Support Group
The Illuminations support group is an organized group of individuals who share the common experience of domestic violence. The group meets on Thursdays, at Turning Pointe, from 12:00-1:30pm. Please note that this support group is not a therapy group.

Illuminations Support Group is not run by a therapist and can be simply facilitated by a member of the group. The group is currently headed by the Shelter Manager of Turning Pointe and provides an environment of supportive communication based on shared experiences regarding domestic violence. This group is not for resolution of deeper issues.

Support groups can be very positive experiences. However, it is possible that deeper issues may be triggered and can cause trauma for those with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. It is therefore important that involvement in support groups be discussed with a trained therapist.
